Mingchih Forest Recreation Area (明池森林遊樂區)

Mingchih (Bright Lake) is located at the highest point of the Northern Cross-Island Highway at Tatung Village in Yilan County laden with fog most year round. Its high altitude between 1000m and 1700m and placid landscape fringed by mountain ranges is truly a scene of incredible beauty.

Departing from Ying Shih Guest House for Meihua Lake (梅花湖) or Baimi Clogs Village (白米木屐村)

Meihua Lake

Meihua Lake, also known as Plum Blossom Lake, is bordered by verdant mountains, shaped like a plum flower with five pedals. A trail circle around the lake allows visitors to stroll tranquilly while enjoying the marvelous scenery of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

Baimi Clogs Village

Baimi, literally meaning White Rice, has been famous for its production of wooden clogs. Visitors may see demonstrations of clog sculpturing and the most traditional sculpting methods. Also, visitors may try to make your own clogs in here!

Taiping Mountain National Forest Recreation Area

Taiping Mountain National Forest Recreation Area is one of Taiwan's three major national forest recreation areas with abundant ecological resources.

Jioujhihze Hote Spring (Lenzhir Hot Spring)

Lenzhir Hot Spring is one of the most popular spots for a bath in winter time. Moreover, there is an egg boiling section that you may boiled an perfect Onsen tamago within a mere 13 minutes.

Cilan Forest Recreation Area (棲蘭森林遊樂區)

Cilan Forest Recreation Area has type of forests range from subtropical to coniferous forest due to its wide range in altitudes. This recreation area's main attraction is the stairs-like nursery for Crytomeria trees. Inside the area, there are the President Chiang Kaik-shik's Hall, flora and fauna viewing park, cherry and peaches blossom area, jungle trails, exercise area equipped with 14 exercise gears, Mini Tarzan Forest Playland, etc.

Wuling Farm

Wuling Farm is famous for fruit produce, such as pears, plums, apples, and peaches; under suitable natural environment, vegetables and high mountain tea are also important crops. The view of sea if flowers in spring, bountiful fruits in summer, vividly tinted maple leaves in autumn and auspicious snow in winter makes Wuling Farm a wonderful place to spend your vacation all year around.
