Millet Mochi Pounding

Experiencing pounding Mochi and learn the making of this popular Taiwan dessert. The traditional Mochi in Taiwan is usually made by glutinous rice (sticky rice) or millet. After the rice or millet is cooked, it will be placed in a wooden mortar and be pounded with wooden mallet. It will become a smooth Mochi afterwards, and you may enjoy Mochi by dipping it in the peanut sugar powder with a sweet flavor.
